Dr. Matt Carlson, a native of Washington, spent his formative years raised in Wenatchee before earning a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Central Washington University. He graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2007 where he received his DDS degree. After graduation, he entered service in the United States Army Dental Corp and completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in South Carolina. He then spent several years assigned to a field dental unit in Germany. In 2010, he was selected for advanced specialty training in root canals at Fort Bragg, NC where he received his certificate in Endodontics. He then spent 3 years practicing as an Endodontist at Fort Drum, NY where he also deployed to Afghanistan.
In pursuit of his commitment to the field of Endodontics and his desire to provide the highest quality of patient care, Dr. Matt successfully completed the Endodontic Board Certification process and became a Board-Certified Endodontist in 2018. Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics are a distinguished group of endondontists who have demonstrated a dedication to professional growth and commitment. Only a small percentage of Endodontists pursue and successfully pass this pinnacle of the profession.
Dr. Matt has been serving patients and referring offices in Skagit Valley since 2015. His desire is to create a unique experience that changes the perception of root canal treatment. He understands the apprehension that can be associated with dental care and root canal treatment and is committed to creating an environment that everyone feels comfortable. He is passionate about providing exceptional service that provides the worth and value experienced in a healthy smile.
Dr. Matt and his wife Shanan have three beautiful daughters, big sister Teagan and twins Elin and Linnea. There is never a dull moment in the Carlson home!
